Here is a cute, sustainable idea for cards and invitations from a company called Botanical PaperWorks. They make a variety of different paper products with seeds embedded in the paper that blooms into flowers when planted. If you are planning a sustainable wedding, this is the place to go for invitations, place settings, and even guest books (though you probably would keep that, and not plant it...). They are a little lacking in their variety of greeting cards, but overall a very cute line of products. They also have a fairly active blog called Stationary Scoop.

I'm proud to say that I voted Democratic in Texas today! At the voting locations, they had put up 5 voting stations for Republicans and only 2 for Democrats. It's Texas right? You'd think the few democrats would be publicly shamed and run over by fat republicans in pick-up trucks and SUVs. Wrong! The democrats made their presence known with a line out the door while the many republican voting machines went mostly un-utilized. Granted, the Republicans do not have as exciting of a race as the Democrats, but this really gives me hope that things really are going to change in this country. I can only hope. :)
